Conventional NDT Methods

To complement our advanced gear testing methods our technicians are fully qualified to carry out conventional ultrasonic, radiographic, penetrant, eddy current or magnetic particle testing and a range of integrity inspections.

Surface NDT methods

Magnetic particle, penetrant, and single coil eddy current are the main methods of detecting surface cracking.
These methods can be ideal for small gear testing and are also used to verify results from our advanced testing methods.

Sub-surface NDT methods

Radiography and ultrasonic methods are generally less effective as surface testing methods but excellent at detecting sub-surface defects.
These methods are generally used for quality assurance at the manufacturing stage but for large items of capital expenditure and critical equipment our independant inspection prior to installation is highly recommended.
